I trained as a hospital physician and a medical researcher, but neither satisfied what I actually wanted to do — practice medicine in close, ongoing relationship with patients. I founded First Internal Medicine in 2008 with a specific goal: bring academic-level, science-based medicine back into a personal practice setting.

After running a successful concierge practice in south Denver for over a decade, I closed in 2019. I'm reopening with the same philosophy, now expanded to include telehealth and house calls across Colorado and Utah, with a deeper focus on functional health, autoimmune disease, and the complex cases that tend to fall through the cracks of conventional medical care.

My approach has always been the same: form an extensive differential, evaluate systematically, and don't stop until there's an answer. Complex problems deserve more than a 15-minute visit and a referral.
